Haven for Children

Alabang, Muntinlupa City

In October, Chummy Chum Foundation received a heartfelt email from Ms. Celine, who expressed her wish to celebrate her special day with less fortunate children. The foundation graciously granted her request, and together, they chose Haven for Children as the venue for this meaningful event.

Haven for Children, under the supervision of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), provides care for male street children aged 7 to 13. These children, many of whom are recovering from substance abuse, have been exposed to the harsh realities of street life, including begging, scavenging, and other challenging activities.

The decision to host the celebration at Haven for Children was nothing short of inspiring. It was a perfect opportunity to bring joy to these young boys, who are working hard to transition from a life of hardship to one of hope and moral guidance.

On the day of the celebration, Ms. Celine, accompanied by her loved ones and the ever-enthusiastic Chummy Chum team, created a truly magical experience. The children were treated to a day filled with laughter, games, and surprises that left them smiling from ear to ear.

The event was more than just a birthday celebration—it was a gesture of love, support, and encouragement for these children as they navigate their journey toward a brighter future.

Ms. Celine's birthday became a shining example of compassion in action, proving that one person's kindness can make a world of difference. Her thoughtful generosity didn’t end there. She also donated additional toys to the Chummy Chum Foundation for their upcoming Charity of Love event, ensuring that even more children will feel the warmth of her kindness.

Special thanks go to Sir Mark for volunteering and helping make the day extra special. And, of course, kudos to Ms. Celine for celebrating her birthday in such a meaningful and impactful way.
