Children from Poor Communities in Paranaque City
The Chummy Chum Foundation received an email from Sir Zoe, filled with excitement and a heartfelt desire to collaborate. Sir Zoe and his best friend Atty. Shirlee wanted to celebrate their birthdays by bringing joy to children from destitute families. Their vision was simple: spend this meaningful occasion sharing love and giving to those who need it the most.
The Chummy Chum Foundation was honored and thrilled to be a part of this beautiful gesture. Always eager to connect with individuals who share the same mission—spreading love, joy, and compassion—the team immediately embraced the idea of making this day unforgettable for the children.
There were a few hiccups along the way, but still, the event was carefully planned. The venue was set in the peaceful neighborhood of BF Homes, a lovely and welcoming space, kindly approved by both Sir Zoe and Atty. Shirlee.
As the day of celebration arrived, the Chummy Chum team began setting up early, transforming the venue into a magical wonderland. The Chummy Chum booth was filled with an array of delicious treats and special gifts for the children, while a long table on the other side was stocked with delectable food packs, toys, and colorful loot bags—graciously provided by Sir Zoe and Atty. Shirlee. They were about to give joy to the children who barely or had not experienced, and be treated as a special guest, in a real children's party.
Vibrant balloons filled the air, adding to the festive atmosphere that the children couldn’t help but marvel at upon their arrival. They knew something extraordinary was happening just for them.
The event began with a prayer, offering gratitude for Sir Zoe's and Mam Shirlee’s lives and the years of blessings they received. Laughter and cheer filled the space as a lively clown hosted fun parlor games, a magical show, and an enchanting puppet show, all while popcorn was joyfully served to the children. The excitement was palpable, and every smile told the story of their happiness.
But the most heartwarming moment came when Chummy Chum himself joined the children with his infectious dance performance. The children, many of whom had only heard of Chummy Chum, were overjoyed to meet him in person. Their faces lit up as they sang a heartfelt “Happy Birthday” to Sir Zoe and Atty. Shirlee, whose hearts were touched by this incredible outpouring of love.
As the celebration continued, the children were served delicious meals and received gifts, toys, and even packs of rice to share with their families at home. The day was filled with laughter, kindness, and gratitude.
