In the aftermath of a devastating typhoon, the Chummy Chum team swiftly extended a helping hand to one of the hardest-hit communities in Parañaque. Their mission was clear: to bring joy and comfort to children who had endured the trauma of the storm.
For years, Chummy Chum has been a symbol of hope and happiness for children, with an uncanny ability to lift spirits and replace fear with laughter. This visit was no exception.
The team arrived at a well-prepared venue, with rows of chairs set up under a tent to shield everyone from the sun and unexpected rain showers. As the team set up tables with delicious treats and special gifts, Chummy Chum—the beloved mascot—was already busy. He mingled with the children, playing games, chatting, and even dancing. The air was filled with laughter, and the children’s smiles were infectious, a touching reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.
Before the children could tire from their joyful time with Chummy Chum, they were treated to a warm and hearty meal of chicken porridge, fresh apples, sandwiches, cold juice, and freshly popped popcorn. Each child also received special gifts, including Chummy Chum coloring books, wristbands, and cuddly pillows, bringing a little piece of joy they could take home.The support didn’t stop there. Families were given practical necessities, such as brand-new undergarments and boxes of Vitamin C, ensuring comfort and health for the days ahead.
This brief but meaningful visit impacted the children and their families, providing hope amidst challenging times.
