Brgy. Baesa, Quezon City

It was on short notice that the Chummy Chum team received a special request from Sir Jun Simon, a former Mayor of Quezon City and now a political consultant and campaign manager. Sir Jun, a dear friend of Chummy Chum’s adoptive father, is well-known for his generosity and deep love for children.

Despite the limited time to prepare, the Chummy Chum team made the event happen—not just for Sir Jun, but for the children. By 7:00 AM, the team had already arrived and swiftly transformed the venue with vibrant balloons, tables filled with delicious treats, and special gifts. Excitement filled the air as the children eagerly waited to see what was in store for them.

The program kicked off with a heartfelt prayer led by a church worker, setting the tone for a joyful day ahead. Parlor games followed, bringing out big smiles and bursts of laughter. Prizes were given to all participants, with extra-special rewards for the winners. Sir Jun watched on, his happiness evident as the children reveled in the fun. Adding to the excitement, the kids enjoyed freshly made cotton candy and popcorn, a treat they clearly adored.

The highlight of the event was the appearance of Chummy Chum, the beloved mascot. The children couldn’t resist running up to hug him, their faces lighting up with pure joy. Chummy Chum danced, played, and created magical moments that the kids will surely remember for a long time.

After the games and activities, the children were treated to a delicious meal lovingly prepared by Sir Jun, along with toys and special gifts generously provided by the Chummy Chum Foundation.

Though the event was brief, it was undoubtedly another successful “Charity of Love,” leaving behind countless stories of smiles etched on the children’s faces. As the event came to a close, Sir Jun left everyone with a hopeful promise: “Until next year.”

Special thanks to WeCarePh for contributing a box of orange juice concentrate, which the children enjoyed throughout the day.
