The Chummy Chum team continues to spread joy across the National Capital Region, and this time, they introduced the foundation to the Caloocan City Medical Center (formerly known as Diosdado Macapagal Medical Center). The visit provided an opportunity to connect with more sick children from underprivileged families. During their conversation, the hospital staff took a moment to check out the Chummy Chum Foundation online and immediately appreciated the foundation’s impactful work.
It was Chummy Chum’s first visit to this publicly run hospital in the northern part of the region. After a brief introduction and some formalities with the hospital’s administration and medical staff, the team wasted no time setting up their booth.
The Chummy Chum booth quickly became a source of excitement for both the children and their parents, as well as the hospital staff. Filled with delicious treats, toys, and special gifts for the children, it created a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. Due to the hospital’s health and safety protocols, Chummy Chum (the mascot) wasn’t able to dance for the children as usual, but he still made a personal connection as he approached each child individually. There was an instant bond between Chummy Chum and the children, with many unable to resist giving him warm, heartfelt hugs. For a moment, the children seemed fine and not suffering from different illnesses.
After the children's medical check-ups, one by one, they approached the booth to receive their special gifts directly from Chummy Chum himself.
A special thank you goes to SM City Sucat for their generous donation of the lovely Bears of Joy.
