North Cemetery
Chummy Chum, with a heart full of love and happiness, recently made a special visit to 80 indigent children living in the North Cemetery in Manila. This visit was a heartfelt request from the community, hoping to bring much-needed joy to these children who have long lived in difficult circumstances.
As the preparations began, each child was given a stub and patiently lined up, their faces lighting up with anticipation. For many, it was the first time they had received a visitor, let alone one who brought so much joy. The children warmly welcomed Chummy Chum into their community, expressing their gratitude for the thoughtful gifts they received. Among the surprises were colorful toys, art supplies for coloring, Chummy Pillows, balloons, and so much more.
The children’s eyes sparkled as they enjoyed the delicious food prepared for them: champorado, fresh apples, cupcakes, and popcorn. It was a rare moment of joy and comfort, one they will surely treasure for years to come.
The generosity didn’t stop there. CLI also provided much-needed undergarments and shirts for the children’s parents, helping to ease their daily struggles.
This visit was a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and the joy that can bloom even in the most challenging of circumstances. Thank you to Chummy Chum and CLI for making this day unforgettable for the children of North Cemetery, showing them that they are seen, loved, and never forgotten.
