Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Hospital
Tala Caloocan
For 18 years, the Chummy Chum Foundation has made it their mission to brighten the days of sick children in public hospitals, helping them forget if only for a moment, the discomfort of their illnesses. Recently, the team visited the Outpatient Department (OPD) of Dr. Jose N. Rodriguez Hospital in Tala, Caloocan, bringing smiles and warmth to the young patients.
Upon arrival, Chummy Chum, the beloved mascot, eagerly led the way into the OPD, excited to meet the children. His enthusiasm was infectious, quickly creating a sense of connection with the children, many of whom were experiencing this joyful visit for the first time.
The Chummy Chum team served hot porridge to the children, along with delightful loot bags filled with popcorn, apples, cake packs, toys, and special gifts. Understanding the importance of their health, each child also received a three-piece pack of hypoallergenic facemasks tailored to their needs.
Although the visit was brief, it transformed the OPD experience for the children, filling the room with laughter and positivity. The smiles shared that day reinforced the foundation's commitment to making a difference in the lives of young patients, reminding them that they are seen, loved, and cared for.
Special thanks to Sir Albino for sharing love through yummy treats, and Clearlogic Inc. for the facemask and brand-new undergarments donated to the children and their parents.
