QUEZON CITY – This morning at Reception and Study Center for Children of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (RSCC-DSWD), we were invited to join them to make kids happy. RSCC-DSWD is a place where abused, neglected, and children left at hospitals were sent. This is also the place where they examine whether the child could still be returned to the parent, or just give him/her to another family. Today, Chummy Chum had the opportunity to join Domez and Manzano family, a friend of Project Outreach, to make kids smile.
We waited for about an hour for us to see the children but when we requested to the houseparents, they let the children out. The kids ranged from 4 years old to 7 years old. Currently, there are 100 of them. They were given gifts and food and were entertained by Chummy Chum. We intended not to disclose the identity of the kids for their protection.
