As early as 5:00am, CCF Team along with the clowns were already on the road on the way to Calatagan, Batangas. Even though it was raining and with zero visibility, it did not deter us from going to the event to spread cheer to poor children with Mrs. Cobarubbia which she does annualy.
As we arrived in Batangas, we had our breakfast first and headed to Calatagan Church, the venue of the event. The place is beautiful. Mrs. Cobarubbia was able to build a rest house here. It was in Calatagan Church that she got to know the people behind the feeding program.
We had a hard time setting up due to bad weather as well as vehicles that was blocking the venue.
The event started with games hosted by the clowns, while we were cooking popcorn. There were lots of prizes that were given away. Afterwards Chummy Chum came out and danced for the children.
After the photo-op, the children were given food, gifts, balloons and lootbags. And because it’s Christmas and the great effort that Mrs. Cobarubbia saw, we were also given tips as Christmas presents.
