No. 175: Little Ayie, 7, Biliary Atresia (Postlivertransplant2018), National Kidney Transplant Institute(NKTI)
Little Ayie was born with liver disease in 2015. With the help of some charity groups and people with generous hearts, she underwent a liver transplant that gave her a second life. The new liver though lifesaver but very expensive maintenance medically speaking. Little Ayie needs a lifetime liver monitoring on top of the maintenance medicine that costs about Php 39,000 a month. Her father is a truck driver, but come this pandemic the income got leaner putting the family into a more serious situation considering that the sick child has 3 other siblings who have basic needs as well.
CCFPI felt the need and shared immediate help with the family who has been very grateful for the assistance they received.
